BOOKKEEPING CONSULTATION CHECKLIST

Your bookkeeping consultation checklist

Start with what you know. A short business overview helps us discuss monthly bookkeeping or cleanup—no financial documents needed with your inquiry.

Start with the basics

  • Your name, business and business email
  • Business type and what you do
  • Your QuickBooks Online setup; whether your books are current, behind or uncertain
  • The help you need: monthly bookkeeping, earlier periods or both

Transaction range and phone number are optional. An estimate is fine.

Note what needs attention

  • Latest complete month and any missing periods
  • Number and types of bank and credit card accounts—no account numbers
  • Questions about categories, balances or other records
  • Inventory, complex job costing, trust accounts, multiple entities or other specialized needs
  • Reporting goals and any deadline to discuss

Keep the inquiry general

Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, account numbers, bank statements, tax documents or other confidential financial information. We start with a fit conversation. Records review requires authorization and an agreed secure process; secure access and onboarding follow the engagement.

Questions to ask

  • Which accounts and transaction volume are covered?
  • Which reports and conversations are included, and when?
  • What records and answers do I provide?
  • Are cleanup, onboarding and QuickBooks Online priced separately?
  • How are extra work and fee changes agreed?

Choose your starting point

For ongoing support: monthly QuickBooks Online bookkeeping.

For historical work: cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping.
